Providence's 2012 Gala Raises a Record Total
Providence Hospital’s 2012 Gala at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center raised $713,000, a record total, for the many valuable services and programs we provide to patients and the community.
This year’s Gala, a Legacy of Healing, honored three physicians who exemplify the Providence commitment of quality health care for all, and who have a combined total of over 110 years of service to Providence Hospital.

• Edward A. Rankin, MD
Each of their sons (who are Providence physicians) were also acknowledged for following their parents’ selfless example- a remarkable legacy of healing that is at the heart of the mission of our founders, The Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul.
The Providence Gala was able to raise the most money ever this year thanks to our generous guests who contributed $139,000 of the $713,000 through our Presents for Providence auction that evening. With this money Providence is now able to purchase a 3D pre-natal ultrasound. This innovative tool allows increased clinical confidence in diagnoses by physicians.
We are grateful to all or our 595 Gala attendees, and especially thankful for our Gala Honorary Chair, Sister Carol Keehan, DC; the Gala Chairs: Barbara and Andrew Maniscalco & Beth and John Veihmeyer; the Gala Cabinet and the Gala Physicians’ Cabinet for their tireless efforts in making the 2012 Providence Gala such a wonderful success.
