Celebrating the “Spirit of Providence” in Successful Giving Campaign

Hundreds of associates and physicians showed their giving spirit with generous participation in the 2017 Spirit of Providence Associate Giving Campaign – surpassing the campaign goal and raising more than $60,000 to support their colleagues and the Providence mission of healing.

The Spirit of Providence Associate Giving Campaign is part of an annual tradition of employee giving and support for the campaign was strong this year. Associates made a meaningful impact through payroll deduction pledges or direct contributions and could designate where their investment was donated:

  • The Associate Bridge Fund
  • The Providence Health Fund
  • The Nursing Education Initiative
  • The Patient Prescription Assistance Fund
  • Any Providence location (Seton House, Carroll Manor, Perry, Ft. Lincoln, PFC)

“We wanted people to have a choice in how their donation was spent, so that they could feel that they had a more personal connection to the campaign and focus on what was important to them,” said Philip Mazzara, Foundation CEO and President. “People really responded to that with generosity and enthusiasm.”

The Foundation showed its appreciation for associate participation with prizes, including t-shirts and a “Thank you BBQ” for all who participated.
